Do Safety Posters Replace Workplace Training?

 

No.

 

A poster can reinforce a rule, hazard or procedure, but it cannot confirm that a worker understands the information or can perform a task safely.

 

Employers must still provide the information, instruction, supervision, training and practical evaluation required for the work being performed.
