What is the course?
This 8 hour course will enable workers to learn about the legal requirements for confined space work as per Ontario regulation 632/05.
The course will outline responsibilities of workplace parties pertaining to confined space work. It will focus on hazard recognition and control and the permit system.
What will it teach?
Who is it for?
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Identify confined spaces and the hazards the may be present within
Recognize Occupational exposure limits related to confined spaces
Identify the correct equipment for the application
Bump and calibrate a gas monitor
Complete a confined space permit
Develop a rescue plan
This course is primarily designed for but not limited to:
Workers and supervisors who may be required to do confined space work
Rescue team members
Employers who hire contractors to complete confined space work
